  • Dynamic yoga, also known as vinyasa or power yoga, focuses on flowing movements that are synchronised with breathing. This style promotes physical strength, flexibility and endurance. The sequence of challenging poses activates the body, focusses the mind and increases the flow of energy. Dynamic yoga is good for strengthening the muscles and stimulating the circulation.
  • Relaxing yoga, on the other hand, such as yin yoga or restorative yoga, focusses on gentle poses, staying in the positions for longer and conscious breathing. The aim is to release tension in the body, reduce stress and enable deep relaxation. This style is particularly suitable for regeneration, stress management and promoting inner peace.
  • Stress reduction: Yoga includes breathing exercises, meditation and physical practices that can help to reduce stress and promote the body’s relaxation response.
  • Improving flexibility: The various yoga poses (asanas) aim to improve the flexibility of the muscles and joints, resulting in better mobility.
  • Strengthening the body: Many yoga exercises require holding certain poses, which can help to strengthen the muscles and improve posture.
  • Mindfulness and meditation: Yoga often incorporates elements of mindfulness and meditation, which can help to calm the mind, promote concentration and increase emotional well-being.
  • Improving breathing: Breathing exercises (pranayama) are a central part of yoga and can increase lung capacity, improve breath control and reduce stress.
  • Promoting blood circulation: : The various yoga poses can improve blood circulation and thus contribute to the health of the cardiovascular system.
  • Support for sleep problems: Relaxing yoga practices can improve sleep patterns and reduce sleep problems.
  • Boosting mental health: Yoga can help to reduce anxiety, lift mood and increase overall wellbeing.

It is important to note that the benefits of yoga can vary from person to person. However, regular practice, adapted to personal needs and goals, can have a positive effect on physical and mental health.

No yoga experience is required to participate in the retreat. Participants of all levels of experience are welcome. Individualised options are offered in the yoga sessions. The yoga teacher takes into account the needs of the participants and offers additional guidance and support.
